California Bill\’s Travel \’n Other Stuff

Travels and occassional rantings of an old guy.

The whole purpose of this is to share travel related experiences with friends, family and other interested travellers.  So there might be a few other things that sneak in here, but mostly travel.  Hope this is entertaining, and informative.

  1. I enjoyed reading about your cruise to St. Petersberg etc. I am also planning to take the same trip. Did you make your reservation through a travel agency or the cruise ship. Thanks for your help.

  2. Great story about your time with the 55th at Korat, I was with the 442nd Sig Bn at Korat from June of 68 to Sept of 70.. Nice duty and I was lucky to have my family with me. Living near town in a three bedroom home was nicer then the hooch. BTW I was a 32E20 but we also trained as 31M, I loved the TRC-24s made you feel like technician ala the Maytag repairman most of the time

  3. Bill, I’m writing my autobiography, never to be published, just given (on disc or hard drive) to the children and grandchildren as a tutorial in what NOT to do. Found your excellent looking for photos. Made me realize (again) what a crappy writer I am. (Not you, though.) I was a 32D20 at Bang Pla. Some of your circuits probably passed through our tech control. Thanks for the memories. — Steve

    • OK, Steve. Good luck with your bio. We all have lots of time for stuff like that. Stay safe.
